Subject: Confidential: The Caelum Transmission
Vidit,
I had hoped never to rely again on this channel, but I must call on your integrity and discretion once more.
For the last five years, my team and I have been working on deciphering and interpreting an anomalous signal, detected during our deep-sky survey of the constellation Caelum. This signal was determined to be a transmission of extragalactic origin. As per the Agency’s mandate, the decision was taken to delay announcement of this discovery until the nature of this signal could be fully investigated and interpreted.
In the course of our investigations, a number of facts became apparent. Not only was this signal evidence of non-human intelligence, but it contained proof of ongoing contact between humans and extragalactic life.
The greater part of the transmission comprised what we could only describe as a field report, observing a population of humans inhabiting a planet we have named Torwelt. All evidence collected by the alien observers, suggests that the human population was taken from Earth several thousand years ago. We do not know how or why this occurred but the aliens posit the involvement of the Tor.
Though the work on decoding the signal is ongoing, it has become apparent that the Agency has no intention to ever make public this monumental discovery. I fear that the work my team and I have done will be destroyed, depriving humanity of this knowledge and rendering impossible any opportunity to reconnect with our lost brethren on Torwelt.

This collection contains the highest fidelity facsimiles of the original signal, along with descriptions of our methodologies, interpretations of the data within, and attempts to translate into easily-digestible form the discoveries we have made.
